CHOOSING A VAPE JUICE FLAVOUR
With hundreds of flavours here at Vapes and Clouds, weβve got something for everyone, if youβre an ex-smoker, weβve got tobacco flavours to suit you, but also in saying that, we have found that the ex-smokers that moved on to other forms of flavours, had the best success rate at quitting.
Hereβs an example, Tony who was a smoker for 41 years, at the age of 60 decided to make the change, he initially began with a standard Cuban tobacco flavour, and it just wasnβt working for him, he mentioned that it just made him want to smoke more, curiously we moved him onto a flavour called Caribbean Punch, which is essentially a Fruit punch flavour, and he hasnβt looked backed since! He is now 4 years smoke free.
Picking a flavour that does not resemble a full tobacco flavour seems like the way to go, but keep in mind each to their own, a tobacco flavour may work splendidly for yourself. If youβre a coffee lover, weβve got some of the best coffee e-liquids in the game. Soda you say? Weβve lost count of how many great soda flavours we have available! Desserts? Are you thinking pancakes, custards, ice cream, or even chocolate mousse, weβve got you! Long story short, transitioning your go to flavour may just come down to something you love eating or drinking, its that simple.
PICKING THE RIGHT E-LIQUID RATIO
When it comes to e-liquids certain e-liquids are better for certain devices based on the PG (Propylene Glycol) and VG (Vegetable Glycerine) Ratio. For sub-ohm kits and higher wattage devices, the preference would be 80VG/20PG, or 70VG/30PG, this means your devices will produce more vapour rather than flavour at 80/20, at 70/30 your device will still produce a lot of vapour, but the flavour will come through a little more.
When it comes to pod systems, and MTL (Mouth to Lung Devices, ratios of 70/30 and lower are recommended, your device is not as strong as a sub-ohm kit, therefore the flavour of e-juice will very much dwindle in a weaker device, we would recommend 70/30, 60/40 or even 50/50 ratios, based on the device you are using. For example, if you are using a Uwell Caliburn G2, THE BEST ratio in our opinion would be 60/40, this produces a great amount of flavour whilst using the 0.8 ohm coil, and also gives you a nice enough inhale of vapour. Always remember, the higher the VG (Propylene Glycol) the more vapour youβll generate, the higher the PG (Propylene Glycol) the more flavour your device will produce.
Vape juices that contain a higher ratio of sweetener, will give you a very tasty inhale, but also keep in mind, this will reduce the longevity of your coil, we love our super sweet flavours at Vapes & Clouds, the sweeter the juice the more coils weβve gotta keep!

When it comes to selecting the right hardware the first question to ask yourself is basic, is this a hobby for me? I’m not a smoker? POD MODS & SUB-OHM KITS
If youβre a social smoker and usually only smoke when you have company, and just looking for something to kick the habit with, we would recommend the Pod Mods, and sub-ohm kits, even if youβre an ex-shisha smoker, sub-ohm kits will give you the closest inhale.
If you are after a device that produces a high vapor output, there are 2 things to factor in, a tank that reaches a high enough wattage, and the mod (device) that reaches the said wattage youβre looking for. Most devices start off at 5 watts, which is little to no vapor, with some mods reaching 220 watts which is a lot of vapour! Most of the higher wattage kits, which produce a lot of vapour, usually do not have built in batteries. The 60w β 100w kits will normally take a single external battery, whilst the 100w β 200w kits will take dual external batteries.
The Perfect ratio for these devices when youβre choosing your e-liquid would be 70VG/30PG, and if youβre after a little more flavour, 60VG/40PG would be perfect.

VAPING COILS & PODS
Every Vaping device under the sun has some form of coil, whether itβs a disposable device, a pod system, a pod mod, or a sub-ohm kit, every device needs a coil. You will also find that most devices have an array of different coils to suit every user.
Some pod systems will have replacement pods instead of replacement coils, which are in most cases a lot more convenient, instead of replacing the coils, the coil is built into the pod, simple pop off the old pod and pop in the new. Something to remember if youβre just starting your vaping journey, more is less, confusing right? Basically, the higher the ohm, the less vapour and more restricted the coil is. The lower the ohm, the more vapour and less restricted the coil is.
